Join the Quest as a Tutor
An involved and complete grounding in the Reading Quest method. The course will prepare you to become a qualified Reading Quest Tutor and teach children struggling with the early stages of literacy.

Delegates teach one pupil in their school for at least 18 thirty-minute daily sessions over 6 weeks. The school arranges timetabling and allocates a quiet location.
All delegates must prove that they have a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check on their status to work with children, or contact Reading Quest at least six weeks before the start of the course to organise the check.
Accreditation
Reading Quest Tutor Training is accredited by the OCN (Open College Network) for a maximum of 6 credits at Level 2. Candidates are required to have passed GCSE English Grade A-C (or equivalent). To complete the training delegates will need to submit a portfolio and attend at least one subsequent refresher day.

Refresh your skills
A half-day refresher workshop for up to 25 delegates trained in the Reading Quest method. Check in with other highly creative Reading Quest tutors.
Aims of the refresher workshop
The group will explore a theme: e.g. gender, English as a second language, storytelling, resources, strategies, etc. Delegates should be ready to bring and share their experience of Reading Quest in practice.
