The Earl came to see children and their families who had been involved with the Reading Quest programme. He also spoke to Reading Quest tutors Jenny Ray and Lucy Ginsburg as well as to RQ Director, Jayne Lacny. He was shown round the school by headteacher Sue Widgery and spent time speaking to school staff and attended a special assembly to welcome him.

The Prince was in Oxford to launch the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Fund and he went on to visit the Oxford Hub and The Story Museum. During his visit to Reading Quest, the Prince looked at games and books that had been bought by a grant given to the charity by the Oxfordshire Community Foundation.

Reading Quest would like to say a huge thank you to the Prince for the visit, which was a wonderful celebration of the literacy work we carry out with children and parents/carers.
<p
