Meet the Numeracy Team

Jane McNeill, Numeracy Consultant and Workshop designer

Jane is a committed educational consultant and teacher with a profound passion for maths education. Since 1989, she has gained considerable experience of teaching mathematics and supporting the development of mathematics teaching and learning within primary schools. She has further extended her expertise by working as a numeracy consultant, locally in Oxfordshire primary schools and nationally, where she has worked for the Primary National Strategy and the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics. She is currently a senior lecturer in Primary Education at Oxford Brookes (with a specialism in Primary Mathematics).

Kath Oldham, Numeracy trainer

Kath OldhamKath has worked as a classroom teacher in 5 different counties, including Oxfordshire, as well as in Germany. Most of her career was spent teaching inner city and service children. She was Deputy Headteacher at Barton Village School and spent 12 years with Oxfordshire County Council’s maths consultancy team. From the start of her career, she worked in teachers’ centres involved with teacher inset.

 

Ann Parham, Numeracy trainer

Ann ParhamAnn has 36 years experience as a primary school teacher and has taught in four different authorities across England. She spent six years as a headteacher of a successful village school and nine as a headteacher consultant working for Oxfordshire County Council. She has worked with the Oxfordshire maths team as a consultant and led the team for the last two years. Besides having trained many primary teachers and Teaching Assistants, she has also worked as an OFSTED inspector and as a School Improvement Partner. She is an independent Education Consultant specialising in mathematics and leadership.
